Including today, Craig Hansen has now given up just 1 hit in his last 6 appearances out of the pen.  He's pitched 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball over that span.

Really nice to see him settling in and becoming a vital cog in the wheel.  The bullpen really needed a lift.
Yup

i agree. tito would never say so, but it seems as though he has bypassed delcarmen. hansen is nasty. that slow windup, and the ball just explodes. it is great how much young pitching the sox have, and michael bowden has a high ceilng as well.

Dice K is back and and he's only a five inning pitcher again.  Doesn't matter how good, young or talented your bullpen is, you can't ask for four innings from them every night.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

You are so now relagated to the Jinx Club.

Not even close on the Delcarmen and Hansen thing.

Delcarmen has had two back to back bad games but other than that he's been untouchable since early may. Hansen is still very much come and go. Once Manny gets back on track expect another one to two month string of unhittable pitching.

Unfortunately that has been his thing the last two years. 2-3 horrendously bad games in a row and then a month or six weeks of unreal pitching then the bad games again.

Hansen hasn't even shown he can be consistent for an entire month straight yet.

As Manny matures and gets his mechanics properly set look for him and Paps to be the 8th and 9th inning guys for the next 5-6 years. Believe me, the brass looks at Delcarmen that highly.

Haha yeah he was bad tonight.  I think this thread was started long enough ago that it is past being called a jinx though.

I hope seeing some pinstripes this weekend gets me fired up for baseball again.  I know I've said this many times but I just can't bring myself to be happy, sad, mad, or anything but indifferent about the Sox and baseball right now.  Then again I start and respond to just about all the Sox threads, so maybe I am and I just don't know it haha.

You can't jinx managing.  It's either good or bad.  That second hit and run was questionable at best.  You're better than that Tito.
