I don't think that I would quite go that far... but I think I know where you are coming from.  I love Paul Pierce (in a plutonic kind of way).  I think he has to get MVP.

tonight he just took what the lakers gave him, and racked up the assists to build the lead.

he did exactly what a team captain and leader who wants a title has to do to win.
