3.  I look for Odom to play more intelligently.  When he's in the lineup with Pau, he'll play off-the-ball as best as he is able to against a tough Celtics defense and crash the glass hard.  When the Lakers go small and are able to better space the floor, I look for him to penetrate.

Lol... An intelligent Lamar Odom? Haven't Faker fans been looking for that since you traded Shaq? Let's get real here, Odom is pretty much a big old negative, no matter what he does.

7.  I'm confident the Lakers have what it takes to win ugly, grind-out games.  Game 4 will mirror Game 3, only this time the Lakers will make their FTs.  Lakers 90, Celtics 80.  Big games from Kobe, Derek Fisher, and the bench.

Annnnd I doubt it, highly. Lakers almost let Game Three slip. Even with all of Jackson's whining, you still only got 12 more FTA's, in your own building. So there is no telling how many free-throws the Lakers will even have a chance to make.

I can't see Paul and KG shooting any worse than they did last night, and if Game Four I doubt Ray will score 25, but then again I doubt he'll need to. If one of KG and Pierce step up, which atleast one will, I'd put money on it. Then I forgot what you guys call him, but I doubt that Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World will score 20 against this team again.

You, sir, are intoxicated by your own ignorance; a brazen fool tickling himself with tedious, ineffectual musings!

Odom has flourished when Gasol is decisive; it is not his fault Gasol is holding the ball and playing right into the Celtics hands.  If Gasol can react quickly and not allow the Celtics defense to get set, and if Odom can avoid silly fouls and take care of the ball, he will get it going.  It is as simple as that.

Odom's a big negative?  Are you going to tell me Odom's 14 and 11 on 52% shooting during the season only made things harder for the Lakers?  His length and quickness?  Passing ability?  Worthless?  Odom offers a lot; he has all season, and he can contribute in ways other than scoring.  All he has to do is avoid foul trouble and turnovers.  That's what I mean by smart basketball.

Here comes the best part.  You doubt the Lakers can win a grind-out game?  How did you form that opinion, considering the Lakers did *just that* last night?

Vujacic has already done his damage; he won't have to score 20 in G4, but I won't rule out the possibility.  From now on, his defenders will think twice about leaving him open, giving Kobe and the rest of the Lakers more room to operate.  Anyway you slice it, Mission Accomplished.

I don't expect Garnett to shoot any better.  Do you want to know one reason he doesn't post up more often and take a high percentage shot?  He doesn't want Gasol exploiting his cross-match with Perkins by beating him down the floor in transition.  And do you want to know why his jumpers aren't falling?  He's expending a lot of energy boxing out, rebounding, setting picks, making up for the defensive liabilities of your bigs in transition, and protecting the rim when Kobe gets into the paint.  Garnett has a lot of responsibilities, and he is the best in the league at what he does; but he is only human, and he will succumb to exhaustion in the 4th.  Again.

I concede that Pierce will probably improve upon his last performance, but will Ray Allen be able to play another 41 minutes on both ends of the floor?  Defending Kobe?  Making shots?  I respect Ray Allen and I would not put it past him.  However, I expect him to fade in the 4th quarter, like he did in game 3, when he managed just 3 points, for Ray Allen is no spring chicken.

First, what does Odom's season stats have anything to do with this current series? Ah, well if you really wanna go that way Odom averaged a whole nine points on 33.3% shooting against Boston in the regular season, and if you honestly think Lamar Odom can be a smart, truly "useful" player I'll refer you to these videos...

Dude smokes too much herb to even know what's going on half the time. He doesn't deserve to be the third best player on a team in the Finals. I'd be a shamed of him, if I were you. Course, I'd be ashamed to be associated in anyway with LaLaLand. Some of you people up there are so far out of touch with the rest of the world it's ridiculous.

Oh, and yeah I do doubt the Lakers can hang with the Celtics in a slower, grind it out game, especially in one where Pierce has even an average shooting night. If that was the case last night, C's would be up 3-0 right now. The Celtics almost won as it was. And I will repeat... Lakers CANNOT hang with the Celtics. If they're lucky enough to take the series to even six games I'll rock a sig saying how much I love Kobe for the next thousand years.

Oh, but give this to your boy, Pau...

I am for certain they will make terrific friends, as I see them relating to many, many things. = D

My prediction is for two of the Big Three to have a good offensive game tonight.  One will continue to struggle and shoot poorly.  On the Lakers, Kobe, Gasol, and Vujacic will probably have a big night.  The series will be even at the end of the game.  Ok, there, I said it.  No waffling.  If I'm proven wrong, then I'm proven wrong.  If right, then right.

I provided the season stats to rebutt the assertion that Odom has not played intelligently since coming over from the Heat.  Presumably, you have poor reading comprehension skills.  I don't know how else to explain how you missed that.  I would add to the afforementioned statistics that Odom is averaging career lows in both personal fouls(2.9) and turnovers(2) per game this year.

I know Odom has struggled in this series.  I'm confident he'll avoid fouls, play more minutes, and thereby increase the likelihood of better production.  He has a history of overcoming adversity, and I believe he can work through it.  That's it.

Why would I feel embarrassment?  I am not embarrassed when players fail, and I don't feel proud of myself when they succeed.  Does that happen to you?  Does your self-worth depend on the Boston Celtics?  Do you live vicariously through them to compensate for a dearth of personal achievements?

When you state the Lakers can't hang with the Celtics in grind-out games when Pierce plays decent basketball, you're assuming Gasol, Odom, Fisher, and Radmanovic will continue to be unproductive.  Yeah, that's a fair assessment.  Not.

Why would Gasol befriend a cupcake?  You see them relating to many, many things?  Hunh?  He's pink, sugary, and fattening?  He's moist and delicious?

Why not just call him a cupcake?  That's direct, succinct, and requires no further elaboration.  I don't know, man.  What you did was kind of half-assed, and at the same time you were trying too hard.  Haha that's a paradox!

Instead of offending me, you revealed that a)you lack creativity and b)you aren't clever.  Great job!

I predict a hard fought game. Lots of post play. A double tech at some point. Some getting in faces. lots of weird calls (surprise, surprise) the name Donaghy mentioned every five minutes, a lot of fouls. Rondo plays ok. Kg screams and hits his chest.
Celtics 107
Lakers 102

Kobe cries. Phil complains.

Maybe he needs to eat the cupcake cause he's hungry or skinny and needs to gain weight or maybe it's close to his birthday or he has a thing for bakers.

I see it being tight all the way through but the Celtics win by 5.
