Is it just me or does anyone else really appreciate how great Dennis Johnson was as a scorer/defender/hassler, etc?

I never hear his name mentioned like Bird/Parrish/Ainge/Chief... but DJ should be in that list.

i'm not sure how long you've been a member of this blog, but dj gets his dues 'round here.

and rightly so, the guy was sensational. the fact he isn't yet a member of the hall of fame is a disgrace.

I think amongst knowledgeable Celtics fans, DJ is considered a member of the de facto "Big Four".  He was definitely as essential part of those championship teams.  Larry Bird called him "the best teammate I ever played with".

"He was one of the most underrated players in the history of the game, in my opinion, and one of the greatest Celtic acquisitions of all time".

Danny Ainge
