Dear Doc,

Truth be told, I always doubted you.  I thought you couldn't plan a late-game strategy and didn't know what to do with 12 players who could play.  I thought your inability to make a solid rotation would be your downfall.  I thought you didn't have what it took to win a title.

Doc, I will always question you, not necessarily out of doubt, but because I have that desire to be the coach, I guess.  I will always say "why didn't you do this?!?!?!?!"

I can question you, but I can never doubt you, because I always doubted you could bring us a championship.

Doc, I was wrong about you, and I am sorry.

Mea Culpa Doc!

Mea Culpa Danny Ainge. I was so wrong about you.

I was wrong when I wanted Lamar Odom to play with the Celtics - I didn't think we could even approach a fair trade for KG.

I was a Danny hater, not a Doc hater - but I heckled Doc too.

I was WRONG.

Sorry fellows.  See you next year.

With love,

Jaketwice

Dear Doc,
At times I have criticized your head-scratching substitutions, but I have come to realize and appreciate all your other strengths as a coach, leader, and motivator. I will never again criticize your work. You along with the team have changed the life of many, including myself. God Bless you DOC, please accept my apology.

I've always admitted that while I'm sometimes puzzled, I do realize I know less than Doc does about coaching the Celtics.  So it is no surprise that now I am happy HE was the coach and happy HE gets to celebrate a singularly notable triumph over the best in the business.

That he had great assistants does not diminish what he accomplished (or what he at least did not impede).

Thanks Doc.  I would agree with your father, "about time."

I, too asked for Doc's head during the early part of 2006-2007 NBA season when we managed to win only 24 games. I guess Danny(Ainge) knows him more than us. DA really bet his life for Doc.  I could have known better.

They click (and clicked)after all.

Congratulations, Doc ... and thank you for this Championship! While I make no apologies for anything I said in opposition, (as it's what I felt at the time), I do think you've proven that you can be successful in the post-season, and if given the right tools, can be a winning coach at the NBA level. All the best for this amazing turnaround ... and for being an important part of raising another banner into the rafters. Thank you, Doc ... sincerely!

Sorry Doc, I wanted you gone after that miserable 18 game stretch last year, but you did exactly what you needed to do to shut me and all of your critics up.
