TP EZ. I'll always miss Johnny. Yes, people really did turn down the TV sound and listen to the radio to hear Johnny.

i remember hearing that call in real time, watching it on tv with my dad, with the volume down so we could hear johnny.  i was fortunate to go to "johnny most night" at the garden too. i was always a big fan of his.  his "homer-ism" reminded me of my grandfather, lol

Johnny! Man, I used to love turning the volume down on the set, turning the radio up, and watching the games with Johnny doing the play-by-play ... I really, really miss that! "Fiddling and diddling" - "Laimbeer ... what a big baby!" ... really miss you, Johnny.
