Playoff comfort, experience and familiarity. Of the remaining teams in the league there is no team I close to "expect" the C's to lose and the only teams I would find this to be feasible against are the seasoned vets like Det, Cle and SA, not NO, Orl and LA. Any team new in the playoffs with its current squad is playing from behind, the C's are in that boat.

Aside from that, no worries other than Doc's STUPID substitution patterns thus far.

actually ive found his pattern to be quite sound outside of the games where rondo sits for extended periods of time.

Nick- actually, I didn't say Doc is horrible, I said he isn't. And I do think he's the biggest weakness, but that's because there really are no others. No team is perfect, but this one is really good.
As far as changing rotations, Doc is the one who changed the rotation by benching House and TA and for the most part Big Baby.  Cassell getting 20 minutes a game is just wierd in my opinion, after the team did so well without him. I thought he was brought in for insurance. Oh well, if they win it all I don't mind being wrong ;)

1. focus - there really is know way (barring refs) that the atlanta series should have gone on that long, whole team needs to check the mirror much like pre game 7, focus on d
2. rebounding - when we control the boards we are soooo good, we need 9 or 10 bds from perk he tends to disapear
3. coaching/rotations - if doc can't see it someone tell him, we need rondo out there most of the time unless he is tired (suck it up), has foul trouble or is stinking
3a. this means less sam, i think against most teams (except detroit) House is a better option as backup pg, I also think in less minutes Ray can get the same points and be more effective again some time for eddie at sg and TA ~ big side note if TA can play within himself~ if he can't bench him

ken, sorry for not being more clear, yes, I know you didn't call him horrible but others have for some of the reasons I stated.

And I agree with you in a lot of ways about playing the guys that got you there but, with Doc, 12 guys got him there and that's okay for the regular season, but it will never work in a 7 game series.

There's been a lot of buzz over the Sam and Eddie debate but at least Doc chose one and has decided to live or die with that decision. Sam 20 minutes per game is insane but for 12 or so minutes I think he brings a little bit more quality per minute than House could. And if Sam plays like he did in games 5 and 7 where he wasn't a hinderance to the offense but the initial catalyst, even better.

As for Baby and Allen sitting, I'm okay there. Brown can do everything defensively that Baby can and more and that's what we need out of our 9th man.

I still say bringing the intensity for 48 minutes every night is their major weakness. Maybe that falls on Doc for not preparing them properly for what awaited them in the playoffs or maybe it's the players for thinking they are that much better a team that they can take whole quarters off at a time. I don't know.

What I do know is that if they bring the same focus and intensity as they did Sunday for every other game this postseason, Banner 17 is going to be lifted to the rafters in November.

TP4U though for getting back and the cool banter.

Good call, Bass (TP) ... the Celts would have won all three of those games in Atlanta if they'd just made their free-throws. Really sad FT stats of late .... this is "Basketball 101" stuff, and when the best team in the league struggles to get their foul-shots in the hoop, especially in the playoffs, it really is shameful.

And how many of those little soft layups roll out? Man, that's frustrating! All it takes is a little spin on the ball, one way or the other, and most of them will go down. I also don't understand how we can have so much inside presence and height, and yet so few dunks ... baffling!

When you're within arm's-length of the basket, and you approach 7 feet in height, that ball should be gettin' slammed 90% of the time! It's the highest percentage shot in the game, pretty much assures that no one will block it, and sends a huge statement energy-wise with that in-your-face intensity!
