I am prob. late with this, but I was watching the C’s game yest.  and as I was hearing the fans BOO when Bibby touched the ball and Ithought back to game 4 of this series and I believe I heard it was ATL 1st sellout of the year.  They didn’t even sell out game 3 I believe of this series.  A said WOW I wonder if Bibby thought his own fans were a bunch bandwagoners, Oh wait they must be dedicated….Found it funny

  • Yup
The bottom line on Bibby is that he's played atrociously in 3 games in Boston and pretty well in a Game and a half in Atlanta,

Did anybody see the little segment TNT did called "Worried about the Celtics?" That actually kind of made our fans look bad. Granted it was a ridiculous piece (if they wanted to talk to Celtics fans, why did they go to a Red Sox game on the night of the Celtics game? Shouldn't they have asked fans outside the Celtics game if they wanted to hear from Celtics fans?) but some people gave asenine comments like the middle aged man who clearly knew nothing and cared nothing about the Celtics (and probably the Red Sox for that matter but that judgment is probably unnecessary) saying "you know, we always say, wait till next year, it happens with the Red Sox and Patriots and it's happening to the Celtics right now."

Look, I know I was upset about our performance in Games 3 and 4 (particularly Game 4 - I thought the Hawks played out of their heads in Game 3 and we were decent but I saw a lot of warning signs and was correctly worried Doc wouldn't make the necessary adjustments that would've made Game 4 an easy win and last night a clincher), but we were still just tied 2-2 with home court advantage over a below .500 team. Turning it into, oh, they lost two games, they must be about to be eliminated. I guarantee you that guy had no idea what the situation of the series was, only that the Celtics lost two games. Even though TNT was stupid in how they ran the segment, I was just furious that guy was put on national TV to represent Celtics fans.
Go Celtics.

I thought the 2 or 3 that said "It's not the Sox so I don't care" was even worse.  Not being a 'Boston' fan myself (only Celtics), I have to say it did make the "Boston" fan look pretty darn bad.
