The roster blows, but doesn't blow enough. Need to be worst team in the league kind of bad next year, not this 30 win garbage of a team.

Why do you say that? Mavs just got the #1 pick in this years draft and they were around .500
Spurs got the #2 pick and they won 34 games.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

That happens every once in awhile.  Most of the time, the bottom 5 teams end up in the bottom 5 or 6 picks.  Increasing the odds is important for a team that isn't going to be any good.  Just bottom out.  Get out of the tax.  Pick up some future draft picks and young players to trade.

There was absolutely no reason to do the Mann and 22 salary dump when it happened if the team wasn't going to truly bottom out.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

The Cs haven?t announced any trade officially yet. Can we expect some minor details which may lead up to other deals?

Not sure it's definitive either way. Would love if more was added to the deals, though.

Sure seems likely that the trade structure is set, but the final details are evolving.

Still think the Bucks will want Simons. I wonder if they would wait for Giannis' commitment before they traded for him, because I think the Bucks would give up multiple firsts as a desperation move (and frankly he might be worth it with two defenders to back him up like Giannis and Turner).

The main competition I'm worried about is Cole Anthony and Coby White. Cole Anthony is not nearly as good as Simons, but he would cost basically nothing as Memphis is looking to dump him. Coby White is on an expiring and his numbers were up across the board last year, but Simons is a better player than White too, and I think the Bulls may want to keep him.

The Bucks won't enter the season without a lead guard.

At this point, I'm also content to keep Simons and see what he can prove this year.

Certainly the Celtics are trying to bring in other teams to take on Niang or Simons.  I imagine the KP trade will be finalized by no later than Wednesday so that Drake Powell can be at the Nets first summer league game on Thursday.  There is likely less urgency for the Holiday trade, although I would not expect it to remain open for too much longer either.
