Kornet may still have his deficiencies on defense but have to say, he?s been a MENACE on the glass on both ends and is also blocking shots.

Dare I say he could be a viable 3rd big in the playoffs for spot minutes?

Kornet has been a quality big for a couple of years now.  I really don't know why some people on this site never give him credit for anything.

Queta with 11/8/ 1 block 1 steal...and a lot of energy and hustle all game.
Kornet wit 14/12/1 assist, 1 steal,  3 blocks and played a super smart game with great def.

Hats off to those 2.    Great games from our backup bigs

They outperform their contracts.  Kornet has been terrific in his role since last season.  I used to rip into the guy but he's grown into his role and plays it so well now.

Luke was pretty much flawless tonight.  Q really good as well.  And Pritchard.

Next year PP is going to start.

So which one of D White, or Jrue isn't back next year?

If we win again, Jrue plays 6th man with PP starting with White.  If they don't win #19 then Jrue gets traded.

I realized after I posted my comment, that yeah maybe someone else could come off the bench.

He generally makes quick and good decisions when they pass him the ball up top.

I wasn?t a fan of Kornet the first few seasons, but he?s certainly changed my mind since. Luke is very intelligent and is playing with so much confidence. It?s great to see.

Really good win. Best Tatum game in a minute. Makes the mavericks game all the more frustrating.
Also, I don?t understand the media obsession with Jalen Brunson especially since they?ve completely turned on the better player, Trae young

Another great win by the Celtics and another worthless game from Tillman.  Granted he only played 6 minutes, because he sucked) but he was the only player on the team with a - rating, he was -6 in a 27 point win...pitiful.

Kornet has usually been unplayable in the postseason, and that was true last year too. They relied on Tillman as the 3rd big, and even that Pacers series when Tillman sucked too, Brissett filled in for spot minutes.

I think this year that can change, and they might not have a choice given Tillman regressing and them not adding a backup PF/C at the deadline.

Holiday and Craig out tomorrow. Tatum and Brown questionable.

Kornet played 10 minutes per game in 13 games in the playoffs.  Tillman played 8 minutes per game in 8 games.

We certainly did attempt to play matchups depending on what we needed at the time, and they all had their moments.  I don't see anything to back up the idea that Kornet was unplayable or that Tillman was relied on over him as third big though.
