Vucevic available for 2nd round picks. Strange that such a skilled big man can't even warrant a 1st round pick in a trade.
I guess part of it is that most contenders already have a starting caliber center and no rebuilding teams want an older player like Vucevic so the market is limited. Only teams interested are looking at him as a 20mpg backup center.
The Chicago Bulls are not necessarily seeking a first round pick back in a trade of Nikola Vucevic. The Bulls would be willing to take back multiple second rounders for Vucevic given the reluctance by teams to trade first rounders.
Vucevic is owed $20 million this season and $21 million next season. Vucevic is averaging 20.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 31.8 minutes in 29 games this season.
Golden StateWhy doesn't Golden State go after Vucevic?
They have no center. They could start Vucevic and then go small when Vuce goes to the bench. They could get him for G Payton II and M Moody plus 2nd rounders. Vucevic with his shooting and passing ability would be a great fit in their offense.
New OrleansThis is a dodgy one given their injury problems this year and continuing concerns over Zion's health but Vuce's skilled high post play would be a good fit offensively with Zion. They could move CJ McCollum for Vuce and something. They have too many ball-handlers in D Murray, Ingram, Zion, McCollum. Vucevic would be a better pairing with their 3 other ball-handlers than McCollum is.
