what happened to Luke's 3 pt game? he shot at a decent rate his first couple of years. tailed off in terms of sample size and accuracy, and now doesn't shoot any. can he still some?

I'm really surprised they made him give that part of his game up. Losing KP wouldn't be as big as it is if we could still get the same spacing with Kornet.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I have to assume that we had him focus on other parts of his game (defense, rebounding, etc) at the expense of practicing 3s. And if that's the case, it's hard to argue with the results; he's a lot more valuable now than he was when he first got here.
I'm bitter.

I think that is by design. I don't think they want him shooting 3s. As a sub they want him to have a very specific skillset.

I certainly wanted KO at the trade deadline, he would've been great for this team. I'm positive of it... with the caveat that I don't know what we would've had to give up to get him.

I?d rather it be Tillman but I?m sure it will be Kornet.  Luke had been perfectly fine in the regular season but he?s been lackluster in the playoffs.  I just think Tillman would be much better suited to defend the pick n roll

Tillman = PnR defense & switching defense.

Similar to Al Horford with his ability to defend out on the perimeter against Dallas' ball-handlers. Kornet on the other hand is an outright liability in both instances allowing Dallas' ball-handlers to eat him up.

Agree with this on defense but the other end is a different story.  Kornet has value as a screener/cutter and offensive rebounder, and he'll hit his free throws.  Tillman has no offensive presence to speak of.  You're giving something up with either of them on the court.

kornet's problem in terms of the match up with dallas is that he does not spread the floor with outside shooting, among other things. this means that doncic can play off of him and clog up the middle. this lets doncic rest up a bit instead of playing defense near the 3 point line.

if the celtics put kornet in when doncic is on the bench, the celtics will be all right. doncic has averaged 40 minutes a game in the first two games. this means kornet can be in the game when doncic is not.

so kornet should be able to play 8 to 12 minutes a game. horford can play the rest of the minutes for a few games.

but i also think that the celtics are the better team even without porzingas.

but i also also think that porzingas will be able to play 15 to 20 minutes, so kornet is a non-issue.

EDIT
here is a clip of tilman that is interesting back in march against dallas.

this is what we could hope for in 4-6 minutes from tilman if porzingas is unable to go. tilman did a nice job on Luka.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
