Surprisingly we're still pretty well set up all things considered going forward. Won't have much between 2028-2029 though. I hope they can extend White and Holiday to reasonable deals alongside KP, Tatum and Jaylen, I love that core going forward. I'm expecting Horford to retire in 2-3 years so his money will come off the books then too.

CBS is definitely the anti-Ainge lol, and to an extreme level

2029 is the new one to freak out about.  The 2028 swap is old news.  ;)

Oh right, thanks TP. I'll add that in.

I am not freaking out about a 13-year-old at the moment.

Me neither.  But freaking out about the '28 pick swap was all the rage back when the White trade went down.

2030 Own

The description on that 2025 pick is odd:

Quote
2025 second round draft pick from Washington, Golden State, Dallas or Detroit
Washington will receive the less favorable of its 2025 2nd round pick and Golden State's 2025 2nd round pick; Boston will receive the Washington pick, the Golden State pick, Dallas' 2025 2nd round pick if conveyable, or Detroit's 2025 2nd round pick protected for selections 56-59; Dallas and Detroit may each receive one of these four (via Detroit's right to swap Golden State for Washington (via Brooklyn); via Detroit to L.A. Clippers to Portland to Detroit; via Detroit and Dallas to Boston) [Brooklyn-Golden State, 7/7/2019; Brooklyn-Indiana-L.A. Lakers-San Antonio-Washington, 8/6/2021; Brooklyn-Detroit, 9/4/2021; Boston-Detroit, 6/28/2023; Boston-Dallas-San Antonio, 7/12/2023]

Also, I think we may still have some claim to our 2028 #2:

Quote
2028 first round draft pick to San Antonio
San Antonio has the right to swap its 2028 1st round pick for Boston's 2028 1st round pick protected for selection 1; if this pick falls on its protected selection and is therefore not conveyable, then Boston will instead convey its 2028 2nd round pick to San Antonio protected for selections 46-60 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Boston's obligation to San Antonio will be extinguished) [Boston-San Antonio, 2/10/2022]

2028 second round draft pick to Phoenix
Boston's 2028 2nd round pick to Phoenix protected for selections 31-45 (via Orlando) (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Boston's obligation to Phoenix will be extinguished) [Boston-Orlando, 2/10/2022; Orlando-Phoenix, 7/17/2023]

If we end up picking #31 - #45, *and* we don't end up with the #1 pick in the draft, we'd keep the pick I think.  Unless I'm missing something.

I think a number one or two and thee trade exception will be used to get another big perhaps.  It is the logical move to add more talent

That’s correct regarding the 2028 pick. We’ve sliced it up a couple of ways but we still have 31-45 unless we win the lottery.
