That Brad asks Danny Ainge for advice. That he asked him if he would have made the KP or Jrue deals, for example. If he weren't running another team I'd bet 100 pct yes.. but since Danny does, a bit unsure.

No. Brad has plenty of experience running teams (though mostly in college), but more importantly you never ask your competition for advice.

Fair point. Just interesting to think about. Those are seismic deals for great players although on the injury prone / old side. If it were me I'd want input.  Maybe CBS posts on here with an alias.

Yeah, and a few of those people (Zarren, the owners) have been a part of plenty of huge deals (Ray Allen, KG, the Nets deal, Kyrie, etc.) so it's not like Ainge is the only person he could talk to

No, but I do think that they like similar players.  Apparently Utah was in on the Jrue discussions, and had targeted KP.

Here's another 'do you think' or 'what if'...

What if the original deal for Porzingis went through with Brogdon instead of Smart? How would that have changed things... we would have Smart and Rob instead of Jrue, no? or another shoe would have dropped?
