Hope the replacement is Grande. And I hope they pair him with Maxwell so we don’t have to listen to Scalabrine anymore. Listening to Scal is like nails on a chalkboard.
Scal is alright in the colour role, but when made to do play-by-play (like when he would occasionally commentate with Eddie House) it was very rough
I find Scal to be pretty cringe tbh. I like the combo of Grande and Max. I guess I’m in the minority here.

Yeah, I'm not a real fan of Scal either. Maybe I was just spoiled by growing up on Heinsohn but there is something grating about Scal's color commentary to me.

I like Scal, but I LOVE Maxwell, especially with Grande. So Grande+Cornbread is definitely my first choice for after Mike retires
I'm bitter.

If Max is an option, that would be good. Just as long as it isn't Eddie House, who is much more suited to the studio

Winning the title in Mike’s last year would be beautiful.

It's going to suck.  Mike is just as much of a legend behind the microphone as Tommy or Johnny Most.  Hopefully the Celtics honor him appropriately.

I’m sure they will. It won’t be the same without Mike. It doesn’t matter if someone was better at the job ( which ain’t happenin’ ) but it won’t be Mike.

Incredible that we got someone like Gorman on a regional broadcast. Best in the business for decades.

I became a Celtics fan in 2001. I started buying the league pass when it became available through my cable provider in 2004. Have gotten it every year since.

Mike and Tommy will be my greatest memory of my early Celtics years. I’ve never come across a better duo that presented a team to a fanbase like them. I still miss Tommy. Mike will soon be sorely missed (even though I like Sean). I hope he does a lot of games this year and I get to listen to him more than I have the last couple seasons (him not traveling as much, and all the nationally televised games).
