…we should be super happy as fans since the game is still a perimeter oriented swingmans game.

We have two of the best two-way players in the game and they’re still young.

Yeah it will be an expensive two star team but its what the market dictates.

And I won’t be touching on the supporting cast because these two studs are the ones with the ball in their hands the most and their improvements will take this team to the next level.

But where and how can these two improve?

Tatum:

1. Driving/slashing - JB is clearly the better of the two at this but JT can get better. He needs better footwork and better first step.

2. Please please retire the step back 3 as a routine game play. This really should be a last resort or heat check type of shot…you’re way too gifted an offensive talent to settle for this shot time and time again at the end of quarters or end of shot clock plays, consider playing at the elbow or box more and shoot some midrange shots as your shot is almost unblockable with your height.

Brown:

1. Decision making - consider pulling the ball back out if you’re going 1 on 3 or if you’re dribbling into a crowd and stop going for pump fakes

2. Free throws….with as good a stroke as you got you need to make more freebies. It’s definitely improved since the rookie days but it can get even better.

And of course both have the skill set and physical attributes to be stellar defensive players which they’ve shown in stretches throughout the season it just has to be the priority and when they heighten their focus and awareness it will go to the next level

I envision Tatum to average 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game and JB to get 2.5 steals and 1 block per game on average…I don’t think those are unreasonable numbers and if that hurts their offensive production a little so be it.

TP puba. It's true. We likely have two more years of this duo anyway.  All we need is a better coach and Pure Point guard to make this a title team.

Jimmy butler is 33 years old everyone.  Right now he's better than Brown and Tatum.  But that won't last much longer.

Jaylen is 7 years away from 33 years old,  Tatum is 8 years away. That's crazy.  If they were together for seven more years I think most people would be shocked if they didn't win at least one ring.
