Everyone's upset (including myself), so it's hard to picture this right now

but.....

what if Jaylen becomes the #1 option somewhere like Toronto and thrives?

Will you miss him and accept that he wasn't going to be the top dog here, or will you be upset that the Celtics didn't get enough in return? There's likely a chance that they can't get an All-NBA player in return for JB in a trade.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

If Jaylen leaves I’ll miss him even if he doesn’t thrive as a number 1 option. He’s been a great Celtic and one of our best draft picks of my lifetime and gotten better every year.
Has he been great these playoffs? Nope. Is he perfect? Nope. But if you are pinning this failure on him and want him out of town you’re a clown

He can't be a #1 here because we have a #1 in Tatum already. He'll flourish elsewhere as their no. 1 guy

I'm a JB fan. I want him to stay.

Ultimately, I think JB wants to be Batman, not Robin.

I’ll miss him for sure just because I really wanted the Jays to work out. I mean how often do you have 2 all NBA wings in your team? If he asks to be traded then so be it. If he chooses to stay I’d like to see how a new coach would manage our loaded roster.

I just care about Banner 18. Would it suck to see him thrive elsewhere? Yes. But if the Celtics can find a star who better complements Tatum and it results in a championship, then I can live with letting Brown go.
