I really expected last night after game 4. This team is so soft mentally.

not me. i had seen enough.  with how we lost game 4 and this teams past history i figured we were done and would fall apart next game at home and VOILA. we did. this team is very fragile. major changes needed. heads need to roll.  now KD is gone who can we get with a brown package? we really need a dominant big but with gallo coming back next year i doubt that happens. better roster this year than last year and joe is proving he sucks as a coach.  wish we had joker or doncic.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

I gave up cable this year so I’ve seen maybe 3-5 Celtics games all year. Been watching playoffs but I turned the channel when seeing how this one was going and have been really happy I DID cancel. I’ve always been a crazy Celts fan. I don’t care one bit about any other Boston team and haven’t since the 80’s. I don’t like Boston and wish I could move but the people I live are here.
I can’t stand casuals and they’re ridiculous opinions on the team. So with all these annoyances and no desire to ever watch a network television show ever again it was an east decision. Celts were the only sacrifice but I saved myself aggravation.

This team needs a STRONG voice and motivator.

It’s the freakin playoffs , they bring no urgency, no energy ,  just an “ oh well “ we ll have to play better next time. …..this lazy poor attitude has been the down fall for too many games season . Not playing basic team basketball , moving the ball , hitting the open man , getting ball to the guy with the hot hand that night.  Like cold shooting Tatum ignoring Brown who is flaming hot. There needs to be a strong coach to remind them how to play team ball. Get them playing on the same page …not selfish hero panic ball.

If you're getting too upset, I recommend taking a break from online forums that serve as an echo chamber for angry fans.  Disappointment is rational, but anger can be contagious online, be it sports, politics, or other issues that we at times feel passionately about.  Something about the medium only allows the strongest emotions to poke through.

I’m fairly infuriated right now. And I feel
Stupid because it is a basketball game. Fortunately I only feel really worked up for like 2 hours during something like this. Anyone else have any tips or thoughts on not letting Celtics get you overly upset as a fan?

I stopped letting sports results upset me long ago. I somehow just disassociate myself from the emotions of it, win or lose, and try and look at the game from an analytical perspective - what did they do to win? What did they do to lose? I found that helps me take the emotions out of it. I try to be fatalistic about things. If they played well then they probably deserved to win, if they played bad they deserved to lose. 35+ years of watching the team, there have been plenty of good days and plenty of bad ones, I guess I've just become inured to the bad ones. I REFUSE TO LET THEM RUIN MY DAY!

Oh, and avoiding media the immediate day after any loss helps too  :police:
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
