Maybe I missed something but it just feels like Rob's closeout's are so much different and less risky than last year. Last year he was always challenging the shooter and getting really close by jumping to the shootinghand sometimes leading to fouls. He was just flying all over the place closing out shooter after shooter making up so much ground with his athletic ability

This year it seems like he doesn't jump, he takes a few steps in the direction of the shooter and stretches his long arms. Still impacting the shooter but not at the same rate as last year. What could be the reason?

1) C's asked him to be careful closing out to shooters to make sure he fouls less.
2) C's asked him to be careful closing out to shooters to have less injury risk
3) Rob is just not fully recovered yet and is physically not as scary for opposing players as last year
4) A combination of the above

I'm just hoping he can return to the Rob of last year come playoff time, he just doesn't look 100% and is not having the same defensive impact as last year. He has impact but not even close to what he did last year.

Curious on your views, maybe there was a report on this and I missed it... I should ask Forsberg as he is his biggest fan!
