The Celtics got what they wanted and backed themselves into a corner and are playing for their NBA lives. The Warriors have no intention of letting this go back to San Francisco. I guess will see what Celtics pride means on Thursday. We'll see what the heart and soul ( Marcus Smart) is going to do to put us into a winning position.

"We're going to get this in Boston. We're going to finish this in Boston," Kerr implored in his postgame speech."

we let them off the mat in game 4. still coulda punched back last game and won and made it 3-2. we coulda won 4-1.  now we are down 3-2 and it feels like we are down 100-1. we just cannot play smart and finish teams or make them tap out. we pushed the envelope waaaaaaaaay two far last series in that we sucked at home. finally burning us. you need teams that are STRONG at home. HCA? just win home games. anything on road is lagniappe. non HCA? just win 1 road game then corresponding home games. HCA used to be a thing years back.  instead we need 2 at bucks and a crazy most probably unprecedented 3 at miami. part of me feels had we won game 4 like we should have maybe we do close out last night. then again that would be against our trends.  but if we coulda closed out at home in 6 that would be great. i never expected to get 2 wins on the road this series. now we see why. we keep digging our own graves. at least make GS win this. we are handing it to them on a silver platter and GS nedes to be reminded of it. they have not beat anybody. we have beaten ourselves.

LET'S GO CELTICS!

Boston lacks a killer instinct. Jordan, Bird teams would have finished GS off for good at home in game 4. That is where this series got away from them.

Perhaps, but Bird was a 23 year old rookie and didn’t win it all that year. Jordan didn’t win it all until his 7th season. I wouldn’t say Tatum and Brown are choking. They are battling against a good team. They will not quit.

The 2008 title team were taken to 7 games by a mediocre Hawks team. Did they lack a killer instinct?

yup and snowballed from there on. GS wins two straight and is now like a shark smelling blood in the water and ready to humiliate us at home and win 3 straight. we should not even be in this position. embarrassment. make them beat you. call me bitter, angry or whatever. i give GS zero credit other than steph jacking threes non stop. boston has handed them this title on a silver platter.

Spot on. Self inflicted wounds. GS isn't making smart attempt these asinine passes with ample time on the clock nor are the forcing us to hail mary passes down the court after getting a stop.

This is the most non-fundamentally sound team I've ever seen make it this far.

Not saying those guys are choking. Just saying when you have a team on the ropes at home you have to end them.

2008 team was superior to everyone and were bored vs Atlanta. They knew the hawks had zero chance winning in Boston.

In the middle of making 8 straight 3 pointers last night-we had like 4 unforced turnovers--just stupid passes into a crowd of defenders by Marcus Dumb---we could have been up 16 points perhaps instead of 6.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I agree when Marcus makes a good play he then will gamble and hurt us more than he helped.  We need the sane solid Marcus, not the one trying to be a superstar.

I've also noticed that GSW are doing a lot of Shoulder grabbing with their off hands---all of their so called defenders do it and get away with it---keeping our players from jumping while trying to get to the basket---NONE have been called for it except Draymond a couple of times.
