ESPN article quote from Ime following Sunday practice,
"We just had a good session that we looked at how physical they were, how aggressive they were at the start of the game, We were kind of caught off guard by that. But I could have done a better job coaching us, preparing us for that."
My first thought was, how in the hell did you get caught "off-guard" by Miami's adjustment to be more physical for Game 3 ? Jimmy Butler said as much when he talked about the Celtics trying to embarrass the Heat in Game 2. Tatum got bounced around like a pinball Saturday night. He did not respond well and the team made no strategic changes to get the ball moving to combat the pressure.
Bottom line though is, Ime saw that PJ Tucker was still playing and should have made physicality the focus of their preparation for Game 3. The team should have known this was coming and been ready to hit back and handle the defensive pressure. Bad coaching.
