Mid season the Celtics and lakers were in a similar position, underachieving teams barely within playoff contention.
Since then the Celtics have been arguably the best team in the NBA, managing a historic turnaround. And the Lakers did the exact opposite.
Take a second to imagine if this was Lebron and the lakers who turned the ship around. The national media would never let anyone who follows the NBA hear the end of it. EVER.
Meanwhile, you barely hear the media speak on the Celtics turnaround. If you were a casual fan, you wouldn’t even know the Celtics had struggled. Really only us Celtics faithful understand what a miraculous turnaround this is.
This post is not only intended to call out the national media bias towards LeBron and the Lakers, but to remind everyone just how bad the lakers were this season and much they mortgaged their near future for such a mediocre and hilariously dysfunctional team. HA HA! *Nelson from the Simpsons laugh*
