You must have missed the game tonight where JT dominated, leading the C’s to a win over the NBA champs.

I was too busy rewatching the Sun's game where JT shot 10 for 25 and 1 for 7 from three point land. Wonder what happened on Nov 28th vs the Raptors or Nov 25th vs Nets

At the risk of taking this thread too seriously, I see two separate but related questions here:

1.   Is Tatum a true #1 (Batman) or can he become one?
2.   Not explicitly said but the other question if Tatum is better without Brown?

I think this game threw cold water on either of these.  Clearly, Tatum can be a top dog on a good team.  At age 23, he doesn't do it every night but he has done it enough that it should be pretty clear that he is really really good.

The other question, Brown and Tatum together, was also illustrated in this game.  Again, they don't "click" every game, every quarter, every possession, but the game last night showed that if they play the right way individually, if the team as a whole plays the right way, and everyone plays with urgency, that Tatum and Brown can play together and play really well together.

The ball was moving and the PLAYERS were moving without the ball.  Tatum was not iso for 18 seconds.  For the most part he got the ball much later in the clock after other options were exhausted.

Tatum has always been Batman.  He is unfortunately the George Clooney version right now, but he still has time to upgrade into a better version.
I don't think that gives Tatum the respect he deserves. At worst he's Kilmer Batman but I think most of the time he's Keaton Batman. He's on his way to Bale Batman, though.

Keaton is way better than Bale.  I enjoyed the Dark Knight trilogy, but those movies I think have bene pretty grossly overrated.  Batman Begins was a very well down origin story, but the Dark Knight wasn't a good movie and Dark Knight Rises was just a bloated mess.  Heath Ledger was just so good as the Joker that people often remember that movie as better than it was.  Ledger awesome.  Bale solid, but that movie was bloated and just wasn't very good.  It was watchable though.  Dark Knight Rises was just dark, gloomy, slow, had all kinds of plot holes, and just was a mess.  It wasn't a Batman & Robin type mess, but it was still a mess.  Bale was good in all of them, but Keaton really is the gold standard of Batman.  Frankly I almost prefer the camp of Adam West to the darkness of Bale.

How is a top 20 player at 23 a Robin?

In less than 2 years, threads like these will be ridiculous and long forgotten.

couldn't agree more with the bolded.  Ledger did make Dark Knight the best Batman movie though Keaton's 2 were better as a set than Bale's set of 3.

Not a movie buff so can't add to the Keaton vs. Bale debate

But the Nightwing stuff is pretty cool

Miles Morales Spiderman also comes to mind actually. I only watched the animated movie though, but I assume Miles Morales will do some bad-butt stuff later.

Spider-verse is my fave movie. Ever. Hands-down.

Especially seeing it in the cinema, in 3D. Man. That was a TRIP.

Found myself re-watching Spiderverse. It really does have a bit of everything. I believe there's another one coming up soon - and I'll look forward to it.

Doesn't feel like DC spams their superheroes like Marvel does. But indeed, watching a bunch of Robins do backflips and somersaults and various acrobatic moves...pretty cool.

You know what, Teen Titans Robin (NOT Teen Titans Go) is probably one of the better iterations of Robin on screen.

Yup @ new one coming.

There's a trailer for it; Across the Spider-verse. Looks like it's going to be epic too, hope it runs in 3D for a while because that's a trip.

Sorry for side-tracking the convo here :]

check out Titans on HBO Max.  It had 3 robins in the last season (though Bruce Wayne was also in it so there was a "Batman" - I put it in quotes because you never really see him in Batman garb).
