  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Romeo looked good on D last night again with some good rebounds. I hope they start running some plays for him on O. He looks like he is ready!

He is way ahead of Nesmith and Pritchard at this point. Plays very good defense, doesn’t make many mistakes and seems to know his role. Wish they would get him more 3pt shots, though. If Romeo and Grant can sit in the corners and knock down a couple of 3’s each game, that would be huge. They both need to be getting more attempts from deep.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Romeo's journey

First two NBA seasons (50 games) - 10 for 46 from three
Total rebounds - 76

This season (10 games) - 9 for 20 (45%)
Total rebounds - 30

He's an excellent defender and is happy to be in the paint, where he's rebounding like a 7 footer. Watch him on D, he's always in the middle of it.

He doesn't take the ball on offense very much.  Very quick to pass it away which is too bad because he has a good handle. He murdered it in G league, but here, he is too quick to defer.

Go Romeo!

Romeo has to step up on the offensive end. He should use the same level of aggression as we see from J Rich.  He is too passive.  He gets too down when he makes a mistake, or misses a shot.

Defensively I continue to feel quite good about his ability to cover multiple positions. Seems to really understand our schemes quite well.

Romeo has impressed me this year in the minutes he’s played. He and Grant are vying for Most Improved Celtic, so far. I hope he’s able to carve out more consistent minutes but I don’t know whose minutes he should take

Was baffled by one of his turnovers. He did an amazing job of gathering the ball on the perimeter, dribbling it through traffic, the defense backed off him giving him the open layup, and instead of finishing, he turned in mid air to search out someone to pass to and threw the ball into a group of 4 Hawks.

But he wasn't the only one to do it. Smart gave up at least 2 open layups where the Hawks backed off him and Smart sought a pass to someone else rather than just laying it in.

Just didn't know what either guy was doing.

And this isn't the first time I've seen him do that, either.  He seems to lack confidence finishing in the paint.  To a degree, that's understandable - he has struggled around the rim in the NBA - but at the very least, he has to finish when given an open shot.

I think Romeo tends to defer when he's out there with the starters, and is a little more assertive with the reserves.  He clearly has NBA finishing ability -- I remember over the weekend when he took Rubio off the dribble and then finished over Allen.

As for last night, I think the general presence of Capela makes guys a little nervous around the rim.

It's like his brain shuts down right before he makes his move toward the rim.  He usually seems to nonchalantly float toward the rim without really having a plan; leaving the floor a little bit too early.  I wasn't really surprised by his bad turnover.  He has to learn to keep his brain turned on and be able to react to situations while making his moves.

this seems to be less of an issue with the player than it is with the team's offensive philosophy of searching out a 3 point shot rather than taking simple 2 point shot near the basket.  saw this repeatedly under Brad and now under Ime.  hate this offensive approach.  My philosophy is a made 2 is worth more than a missed 3.

Another solid defensive game adding a strip of Lebron James to his resume..good solid base when he is posted up.
His almost seven ft wingspan coupled with his lateral allow him to guard a Westbrook, Camello, Davis and Lebron all on same night..
His one glaring was the lack of weakside help of Tatum on Westbrook but was it Tatum can hold his ownif Romeo had helped out the weakside corner three would have been wide open..As it was Westbrook just got his shoulder in and bested Tatum but it was still a well contested layup with Tatum's athleticism and length. What a night for Romeo getting to guard three NBA legends.

JUJANN BERGERIN---6-5 219 with 7 foot wingspan ,blazing speed /power in open court, nice stroke and great motor
Is a potential star  and he deserves with his talent to be brought along in Boston
