I must admit I was surprised to see these numbers for Grant.  I realize that he is not taking that many shots per game with 4.9 fga and 3.3 3pa, but still, the man is doing so much better than last year.  I have changed my opinion of him from worthless last year to worthy of the rotation this year.  What do you guys think?

Grant has taken a huge step forward this year.  He doesn’t get too many attempts, but he’s willing to take shots that he’d have passed up last year, and is a viable member of the rotation.  He’s nearly at the hallowed 50/40/90 status.

He's a different player.  Putting on that extra weight to bang with centers had a huge negative impact on him.  Last year he was nearly immobile.  He'll always be a below average NBA athlete, but that extra agility from playing lighter does wonders for his entire game.  Just not worth sacrificing that in exchange for a more favorable matchup against perhaps four players in the entire league.

He looked like a useful player in his rookie season and he's back to looking like a useful player now.  Glad to see it, because I like the dude and I want him to succeed.

As long as he keeps hitting the 3pt shot at 40%+ he should be getting the minutes he is. Team desperately needs his shooting from the corners right now. If his shooting falters, though, his minutes should go down dramatically. His defense has been somewhat better this year, but he’s still a liability as he is short for his position and doesn’t have the athleticism to make up for it.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I was one of the very few members of the Grant fan club.  So I'm not surprised.  He won't ever be a star but he can be very very solid.

TP dog for not losing faith.

I slammed Danny for taking a 6'5" big man that can't jump. After watching all his highlights I decided that he would be able to score in the league because of his good BBIQ and his overall skill-set is very diverse.

Still dissatisfied with his mid range and ability to take it to the hoop, but his high level skill is definitely showing with his shooting and defense.

 Per 36 13.6ppg 5.5 rpg 1.7 apg

Pretty bad rebounding numbers for a big man. Currently 3 boards a game

If his shot is going to be consistent, this is the biggest area of improvement from him I'd like to see. If he isn't big enough to play center but he's at a quickness disadvantage against wings, then he'd better be stronger than the wings he finds himself on and be able to hit the boards.
