So it continued all game long.  Awful game from Tatum, but everyone else just played so much better than they had with a more free flowing offense.  The simple reality is the Tatum/Brown pairing just doesn't work that well together.

Also, Schroder needs to start even when Brown is back.  He is an actual PG.  Something Boston hasn't really had since Rondo.  Maybe the Tatum/Brown duo will work better with an actual playmaking PG next to them.

By that logic, the team also plays better when Tatum isn't as good, which means this team would be better off with neither.
If Tatum missed extended time while Brown played and the team actually played better, then sure, but that hasn't happened.  Tatum has been able to fit no matter what lineup is surrounding him and that isn't always the case with Brown.  Brown is much more a #2 type player, more in line with someone like AD, Towns, or KG.  A guy that is a great player, but just doesn't lead a team to a high volume of success without having the #1 mentality guy (i.e. Lebron for AD or Pierce for KG or Butler for that 1 season with Towns).  That is more Brown's style.  More of a Robin than Batman.  But unfortunately he and Tatum don't fit all that well.

Simmons is already ruined , raised wrong .  There has to be a chain of authority, even for stars .

He can’t accept that ,  then he can walk the streets a beggar for all I care.

If Brad Steven's wants to get fired and have every Celtics fan and Celtics team beneficiary hate him more than Bill Buckner he will trade Brown or Tatum for Simmons.

Brown has been the C's best player this season. Not trading him for anyone who isn't an MVP candidate.

I had a similar version of the trade but added Smart and Thybulle.  I know there are complications to trading smart and others may need to be added for salary purposes (assuming it’s even possible).

Anyway, was more interested in the value of it all.  The issue of course is that Simmons may be completely broken.  The second issue is that the sixers say hell you and hang up.

In the end, I would think long and hard about my proposed package.  Simmons can’t score but he’s much superior to brown in EVERY way and is borderline elite at minimum in general.

But yeah, Simmons could completely flame out of the league so there’s that.
