They still miss way too many calls, but far more enjoyable to watch with the different emphasis.  Plus they miss nowhere near what the NFL refs have been missing, so that is nice.

It's honestly been an impressive change in philosophy. Arguably more change than anyone would have reasonably expected from one year to another. Hopefully it sticks but the league has gained a ton of credibility in the short term. It's really satisfying figuring out who are the real shot makers and who has mostly been relying on the whistle.

So far Damian Lillard seems like the most surprising casualty since his 3 point percentage has plummeted but as many around here have pointed he's getting older and maybe defenders are feeling more comfortable playing up on him at the 3 point line without the constant fear of Lillard getting a cheap call to put him on the line for 3 free throws.

Keep it up NBA.

They are letting some bad arm swipes and hits go on drives. Anytime someone impedes the arms that's a clear foul.

I do like letting the body contact go if a guy has 50% coverage. That normal basketball and claiming space.

So call the arm swinging hits more and I'm good.

vast improvement however I hate how many replays there are now - slows the game down way too much.

Call me cynical but the change from last year to this has been drastic enough to make me think that the refs could have been doing this all along but were intentionally letting offensive players get away with murder.

As in, when we saw blatant rule breaking in the past and the justification would always be, "Well the games move so fast, it's hard to officiate" but now, as soon as the change is implemented, we see that the refs are totally capable of seeing and addressing the obvious rule breaking that we were told in the past they were just missing.

Rule changes great.

Reffing still sus.

I'm 100% sure there's preferential treatment for stars, which honestly just sucks.

I also still wouldn't be surprised if there's heaps of rigging, betting, and other crooked stuff going on.

I like it, we've had artificially inflated staes with defenders that could not do anything the last few years.

It's better than it's been for the last 4-5 years so far.
