I'm curious, how are you using ineffective and unproven here?  Are you seeing any positives that come from vaccination?

I do agree that it would probably be best to rely on antibody tests rather than vaccination status.

and yet athletes are still getting it multiple times.  And if you have it and get the vaccine, you have even better protection.

I'm an RN. I worked on a covid unit for a few months. The people that were vaccinated still had a rough time with the delta variant. The small few that were unvaccinated died a traumatic death. Please get vaccinated, for all of our sakes.

Unless you have already had it or if you are healthy and under age 40.  Good diet, exercise, Vit D and stop worrying about it.   Build up your natural god given immunity because if you do contract it your risk is near zero.  Do society a favor and build up our heard immunity.  This is what should have been done from day 1.  Covid is likely going to be here forever and time to start dealing with it in a scientifically logical way.

That’s not exactly what the study says, and it’s also not peer-reviewed.

The whole thing is just odd. Besides it being politically divisive, I just don't understand the opposition to getting the vaccine. I am 41 and a long-distance runner. I had Covid w/ moderate symptoms, got the vaccine, then got Covid again, and had a very mild case. I don't know whether it's because I had it before or because of the vaccine that my 2nd case was so mild, but who cares? It's a freaking shot - people get shots all the time - and it's free.

We can have a conversation about masks - you and I probably more or less agree on that one - but, it's too bad the vaccine is where people decided to take a stand. Like, why take the chance?

For the sake of my father-in-law, who’s undergoing lymphoma treatment that renders the vaccine less effective, and makes him at higher risk of Covid complications.

For the sake of a coworker who died of a heart attack during the height of Covid last fall and winter, having shown up to a hospital that was too full to treat him.

For the sake of my vaccinated sister-in-law with rheumatoid arthritis who takes immune suppressing drugs, which in non-Covid times enable her to live a normal life, but in Covid times make her more susceptible.

Vaccines are part of public health because they help the public, not just the person taking the vaccine.  It’s really simple, and I just can’t comprehend the selfishness of those who refuse to get it.

Opposition is perfectly sensible.  The half ass vaccine is unnecessary for a large portion of the population and may actually be delaying heard immunity and leading to mutations.  Only time will tell.  Of course there are no perfect answers and nothing is right for everyone.  I have no problem if anyone elects to get the vaccine (and think it is probably safe).  But when people think they know best and start forcing a vaccine like this on me and my family is where I put my foot down.  Once one group start locking people in their homes and forcing masks and vaccines - of course it is going to get extremely political.  We are talking peoples lives, incomes and freedoms.
