This is a stacked roster. If 100% healthy, nobody is beating Brooklyn. They're a superteam.

If the Nets & Lakers were matched up against each other, I can only guess that this would be the closing line ups:

Claxton  -  Davis
Durant   -  James
Harris    -  Bazemore
Harden  -  Ellington
Irving    -  Westbrook
The two match-ups that matter most are the 5 spot and the 2 spot, given they're the biggest talent disparities. I think KD would give LeBron a nightmare and he would defer to someone for defending KD.
I actually think the key will be Westbrook v. Irving.  I can see that match-up going so many different ways.  For example, I could see Russ just overwhelming Ky, frustrating him immensely on both ends and that being the turning point in the series.  On the otherhand, I could see Ky just getting hot and Russ bricking up shots left and right and that being the turning point in the series.  I'd also worry about Ky holding up over a 7 game series if Russ played more physical with him, but can Russ stay with him enough to body him.  And it isn't like they can hide Irving much because then Russ will have a big time speed advantage over Harden.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Imma go out on a limb and say neither team makes the Finals. Both are extremely top heavy teams and my money is on 3 of these 6 top guys being physically hampered come the playoffs.

And there will be no easy series after the first round. In the East, Atlanta, Boston, Miami, Philly, Milwaukee and the Knicks could be very tough playoff outs. In the West, LAC(when Kawhi returns), Denver, Phoenix, Utah, Dallas and Portland could upend the Lakers.

Putting my money on the field on this bet.

Yet they won't be healthy, and their egos (even individually!) are enough to blow up any locker room.

Nets should completely lean into the fact that their an offensive powerhouse and go small when it matters:

Durant
Harris
Harden
Irving
Mills

That lineup won't generate a ton of stops, but I can see it going supernova and blitzing teams in tight games.
