Given Kemba's perceived negative trade value, I am wondering how Klay Thompson is viewed around the league.  He has an additional year on his contract vs. Kemba and has not been healthy in 2 years.

I am wondering the following:
1. What is his prognosis?  Is he supposed to come back at the beginning of next season at full strength?
2. What is his trade value?  Is he viewed as a negative like Kemba or a positive value?
3. If he is viewed as a negative value, is he in any way attainable for Kemba and assets (an exchange of damaged goods)?  I understand that there is some overlap with Curry, so it may not be possible.

Honestly, I can't imagine a player who is a better fit for this team (if healthy).

Klay Thompson is not available in a trade for Kemba Walker. Period. Ever.  Even if Kemba was healthy and 5 years younger. Not. gonna. happen.

You may be right, but how is Thompson's contract viewed around the league?  What would he command for a trade?

never happen.  Every team, including GSW, wants to see how Klay has recovered if at all.
1. If Klay bounces back, GSW isn't trading him.
2. If Klay cannot bounce back, no one will touch him while he's under his current deal

How Klay Thompson is viewed around the league as a trade assets and how he is viewed by Golden State are two different things. The league could believe he is a negative asset while GSW believe he is an untradeable pillar of our team that we will keep and allow him to finish his career here.

Said differently, it doesn't matter how the league views if Klay if GSW has no interest in trading him - which appears to be the case so you won't be getting him for pennies on the dollar.

No way will the Splash Brothers breakup. Curry and Klay are a combination and you cannot have one without the other.
