He anchored those Stockton/Malone teams, right?  Not much of an offensive player, but that didn't matter.

He was part of that era of the Big Man but often overlooked.  RIP.

And if I recall correctly, he was one of the few who could give Kareem trouble.

He anchored their teams from 82-93, but he didn't have a long career. He was a 26 year-old rookie. Averaged 3.4BPG in his rookie season in 19 minutes a game!

It's shame.  By accounts a pretty stand-up dude.  You never hear a bad thing about him.

I wish we could've seen what an in-his-prime Eaton could've done against shaq.  He was one of the few that was close to as strong as him, and we know shaq hated being guarded by guys taller than him.  Muresan gave him a little trouble because of that.

I've always wondered why Eaton's FG% was so low.  you'd think he'd just be throwing down dunks and lay-ups.  Did the Jazz try make him into an offensive weapon?

The Jazz fed him a bit in the post, but he also wasn't a super finisher who had great hands from the little I've seen of him. Could definitely be a high efficiency 'garbage man' if used correctly though.

He started anchoring the Jazz before Stockton/Malone emerged, but he did that for that tandem's first few seasons.
