For those of you who watched the Knick game, the most impressive guy on the floor was Jabari Parker.  He was aggressive. He attached the hoop. He hit a 3 ball.  He defended decently, including 1 on 1 vs Randle, who is a beast.

I think Brad should insert Jabari as our starting small ball 5.  It would totally throw the Wiz off.  If the bring in Robin Lopez, bring TT in to defend him. But I think our team offensively is a lot more dynamic with Jabari than with TT at center.

What do you think?

I think that the concern would be that he does nothing to discourage dribble penetration.

Have we even seen a minute of a Kemba-Smart-Fournier-Tatum-Parker lineup?  Do you think they’ve even practiced together if we haven’t?  Rhythm and communication has been a major problem for our team, and I don’t think a starting 5 that may have never seen the court together is a sound idea.

He seemed better able to stand up physically and hold his post position than the supposedly strong Grant.

I think starting him would be a mistake but I would move him ahead of Grant in the depth chart.   He is more productive in less minutes time and time again and can actually get off his shot better than Grant in the post.

We literally had a revolving door at many positions this year.   If this was the case, then why does Grant play so crappy in his 18 min he played with them all year and didn't produce.   This is basketball not dancing.   When they are talking about rhythm they mean rhythm of the game and bio mechanical movement not playing together.

What will happen is that whenever Kyrie or Harden drive, we will be put in rotation immediately because the team won't have confidence in his ability to defend the rim and so they will overhelp and the Nets have some good perimeter shooters. Then we will blame our wings for leaving players open on the perimeter but the problem started at the rim. Not to mention I think they will cook him in the pick and roll and on switches.

Jabari is a solid player for a very specific purpose - to score inside. That's what we should use him for. I think Gwill still starts even if he doesn't score a point, because its less impact on the defensive scheme.

Westbrook getting down hill with Parker as the back line of the defense could be a disaster. Honestly Tacko is probably a better option. With that being said I would try to get Parker as many non westbook minutes as possible at the 5.

Are you trying to stop the Wiz or outscore them?

Which of those options seems smartest?
