How many trades will happen on deadline day today?  Will it be active or slow?  I think we'll see a lot, so I'm voting 16-20.  We started off with 1 at midnight, and I think we'll see something happen in the late morning to break the dam full of moves.

11-15.

This is grounded in absolutely nothing and just a guess.   :P

My guess is that Oladipo gets moved, too.

well we already had a small one in the Wright/Joseph trade.  Such a weird small trade.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I think there will be a lot of little ones.  Utah is in the luxury tax -- that feels like something that might change.  Portland is barely under the tax, but they might like to move someone so they can afford to play in the buyout market.  Dinwiddie seems to be an obvious candidate for a team interested in his Bird rights.  New York is under the salary floor, I believe -- seems wasteful to finally resemble a competitive team and not at least get to that salary threshold.  And while we're focused on the Celtics' failure to meet expectations, there are many other teams in the same boat of mediocrity (Indiana, Miami, and Dallas jump out), some of whom could try to make moves to salvage the season.  Especially in the East, where a game or two over .500 might net you home court in the first round, there is reason to be a buyer.

I think the count is currently 7, with some of the most likely deals (Lowry) still to come.

The final toll was 16 (this article has 17, but #17 was announced earlier this week).  My prediction was correct!
