The spotlight being on Rob Williams and his insane athleticism and length .Then you watch Payton play with poise, hit threes  and goes fearlessly into the paint can pullup or has a floater .Now Grant Williams is hitting 40% from three and Romeo opened some eyes last season. Tommy summed it up "this kid can playa" and Aaron defense was improving  and he has a strong motor and work ethic Get Drew Hanlon with Romeo ,Aaron Nesmith and Pritchard

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
I think Danny has gotten undue wrath. He has 3 second rounders still in the league in Semi. Moore and Nader. Grant i know will grow more. He will find a way to be a starter. Draymond was not an All Star from the start. Carson can shoot. Nesmith has bloked some shots so he i more than a shooter. Robert Williams is now a steal. We just need a Vet center. We should be over the cap with AL and all would be well. IMO
"People look at players, watch them dribble between their legs and they say, 'There's a superstar.'  Well John Havlicek is a superstar, and most of the others are figments of writers' imagination."
--Jerry West, on John Havlicek

What is wrong with bringing Rob Williams along  slowly while he gets to play flat out.Step by step,he is unfolding. How about that pass over his shoulder ala Smart as he was falling.
His competitive streak is showing  from rebounding positioning, turn and blocking, timing and setting screens in pick and roll.
Being groomed by Celtics has been a gift and striving for consistency a trait Brad is imparting in him.Rob loves the game and wants to be a skilled player.as well as a shot blocker rim runner.
Playing in control and not using his gifts like a Kamikaze  playing smart like Bill Russell controlling his blocks. The volleyball spikes are great for crowd reaction and intimidation but players are seeing his blocking ability from weakside  or catchup even out to step back threes.
No longer is getting to the rim is a given any more. And the more film and experience Rob gets the better his tiiming on individual players and falling for ball fakes and leaving his feet only to be put in position for those crafty lean in's by the Hardens and Kembas of the league on perimeter.

Danny has missed a lot with mid to late first round picks, I think more so than most GM’s. However I give him a pass for whatever draft picks he makes for the next 10 years for making the right call on Jayson and Jaylen. He could have easily drafted another player in either of those drafts. He also seems to have made the right call on Pritchard and Rob Williams. Nesmith is TBD. People should not be complaining about his drafting abilities.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
