Back when Danny and co were wheeling and dealing I used to play with the RealGM and ESPN trade machines.
Was fun but futile exercise.
Haven’t posted one in a long while but I think DA will make a move this deadline.
Here’s my attempt to influence the decision makers:
Because of trade exception rules this needs to be constructed as two trades.
1: Boston receives Aaron Gordon
Orlando receives TE
2: Boston receives Evan Fournier
Orlando receives Nesmith, G Williams, T Thompson and a second round pick.
This is just based on rumors that Orlando is looking to move on from these two young vets and reset around their young core.
The TE gives them flexibility to find the right player to fit with Vuc . They get an upside shooter, smart role player, and vet big man with short contract.
As for the c’s... Gordon can play all three front court positions. He would start at 4 next to the Jays, and back up Theis and RW. (Added bonus, more time for the timelord).
Fournier is a solid shooter who would be a huge asset off the bench. Our bench would be led by Smart and Fournier, and, with RW, giving us a really solid 8 man rotation.
Also, take the pressure off Romeo and P$ And let them grow into their roles.
Yes, we may loose Fornier in the off season, but we may also break through to the finals.
Thought?
