Does anyone know what his status is? Everywhere I read about a calf strain and 2-3 weeks out but on the last televised game I am sure there was a graphic that said he was out with  a calf tear? That sounds much more serious to me so does anyone have credible information?

Thanks

Stevens said he was not close recently. My reaction to the seriousness parallels yours.

Celtics are 2-3 without him.

If you watch the games, Smart does countless things at both ends that help the team.

This is from a few days ago.... a non-update from Brad? Lol

No timeline update on Marcus, I don’t expect him back, you know, anytime in the near, near future with regard to our upcoming games,” Stevens said. “And then I don’t have any update on Romeo.”

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

He should be a politician. He says a lot and says nothing. We CLEARLY need Smart.

Update on Romeo, Jaylen, Timelord:

Boston coach Brad Stevens said Langford is starting to move toward a return after offseason wrist surgery.

“He’s doing a lot. He’s not playing live yet. He’s had a little bit of soreness which was expected,” Stevens said. “But that’s probably going to push him through the break. He’ll probably be available after the break.”

Robert Williams injury doesn’t seem serious - Williams is the latest Celtic to miss a game with an injury as he’ll sit out Thursday’s game vs. Toronto due to hip soreness.

“We’re just being very, very cautious. It’s just general soreness,” Stevens said. “Hopefully it’s nothing big and doesn’t last beyond a day to day thing.”

Jaylen Brown is on a treatment plan for knee tendinitis - Danny Ainge’s revelation that Brown is dealing with knee tendinitis during his appearance on the Sports Hub Wednesday raised concern about Brown’s health, but Stevens said the condition is common.

“Every one of our players has a treatment plan and a lot of them deal with different levels of tendinitis,” he said. “A lot of them have little things they’re dealing with that they have to manage over the course of a long year. Obviously, the guys who play greater minutes have to manage the more,” said Stevens, who doesn’t influence the process. “I’m not part of that. It’s Jaylen first and foremost and our training staff and they come up with the gameplan. I ask ‘Who’s available?’ and ‘How much?’ That’s about the extent of my involvement.”

A strain and a tear are the same thing. He has a Grade 1 strain which means there was mild tearing.

He's supposed to be in the broadcast tonight in the second quarter. Should be able to get an update direct from the horses mouth.

The Celtics do not tell the truth about injuries. That is not a secret.
