I voted on pure performance.  I tried to filter out any bias if I didn't like the personality of the player or that I really like them (mostly applies to Celtics).  To me, although 1 dimensional, Beal deserves to start.  Harden is better than Brown, maybe not statistically so far this season but he is still better, then to me Durant (SF), Giannis (PF) and Embiid (C) are no brainers.

Maybe it is good to keep the Celtics more under the radar and under appreciated.  Makes it easier for us to be taken lightly.

Beal
Harden
Durant
Giannis
Embiid

Curry (Still the best)
Doncic (Deserves it even though team is not winning)
LeBron (No doubt)
Davis
Jokic

Before seeing those initial results, I was willing to bet that Tatum would have an outside shot at starter due to popularity alone. I know relatively recently, Tatum's jersey sales were some of the best in the league. He is a very popular star in this league.

Jimmy Butler getting more votes than Bam, Sabonis, Hayward and Randle is silly. Miami fans are crazy!

I voted.

Embiid, Giannis, Tatum, Brown, Young

If I was voting my head I would have had Durant instead of Tatum, but no way I'm voting for Durant for anything ever.  I can't stand that guy and Tatum has certainly had a good enough season to deserve it.  Brown also an obvious selection.  I went with Young because his numbers are still very good and Atlanta isn't terrible like Washington and Chicago and thus I didn't feel good about voting for Beal or LaVine.

The west I went with Jokic, James, Wood, Lillard, Curry.  I felt like Wood's excellent season in Houston, while keeping them at .500, deserved the nod over better players that aren't crushing it like Davis, Leonard, George, etc.  Difficult to keep Luka off, but Curry and Lillard have been superb and are quite simply anchoring better teams.  The Mavs are terrible.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I don't think there are going to be any surprises in the starters. Tatum and Brown will be coming off the bench.

Not that that's stopping me from voting for both of them.
