Isn't there also TPE for these two moves? Could these be used to address bench scoring this season and then keep the GH TPE for the offseason and avoid tax issues? If so, are there any players worth considering that fall in the smaller TPE range?

Yes.

$4.75MM for Kanter, $2.5MM for Poirier.

Not unlike the Hayward exception, I think these are unlikely to get used during the season (tho more likely than the Hayward one).

Cs will want to trade out players if they're going to acquire any as part of an in-season trade.

Could be valuable during the offseason.

Well, Kanter is the starting center since Nurkic is out, so that’s not going to happen. Even when Nurkic come back , they will need Kanter as an insurance policy. He’s playing very well too. Huge mistake by DA letting Kanter walk for less than $5M.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I think they're talking about using the TPE from these trades not trading for these players.

My bad, TPE From, not for. Thanks
