A few things:

1. Tonight we played 8 guys off the bench and every single one was a home-grown signing: 7 draft picks and Tack who we signed as a UFA rookie. That has to be a first in the NBA - or the recent history of it.
2. In that group GWill, RWill and PP seem to be NBA-level rotation players which are pretty good hits from their mid-20s draft slots.
3. Our two highest recent picks are both playing at All-Star or even All-NBA levels. That is an extremely impressive hit rate - think of the Sixers, Twolves or the many other teams who've had multiple top-5 picks in recent years with only a few of them turning into stars.
4. Our mid-1st picks are Langford and Nesmith: jury still out.

In this era where stars are teaming up to chase rings left and right, and demanding trades when things don't go their way, it's cool that we have a team where almost everyone has never played for another team. And if a few of our young guys develop further, we could be a legit title contender with nearly all home-grown talent. Even our coach is on his first NBA job.

Timelord is someone who I have my eyes on.  In 17 MPG, he's about 8PPG, 6RPG, and 2BPG.  If his minutes continue to come regularly, no reason he can't be a 10/10 guy off the bench and potentially starting in a couple years.

PP is, IMO, the pick of the draft, right now!.  He could become the PG that I was stating they needed to take at 14.  I'm thrilled with his game.  I look at it a lot like DJ's game.  True PG, but don't leave him alone, he'll burn you.  That said, I'm sure Nesmith will come along.  Remember, he hasn't played basketball really since January 2020 when he had surgery.  Let's give him some time.

"Our two highest recent picks are both playing at All-Star or even All-NBA levels."  I don't believe this is accurate, I know what you meant, but our two highest recent picks are Romeo and Nesmith.  They definitely are not playing at All-Star or All-NBA levels.   ;D  But again, I know what you meant by your comment, really meaning Brown and Tatum.
