He missed so badly it went in.  Sometimes you just need that luck

"Tommy's spirit" in the game.

Season opener offered to Tom (Heinsohn).

Lucky shot or not, we were ecstatic and the Bucks were deeply hurt. Our pre-Christmas present.

That was an absolute “No no no YES!!!” moment lol no way that goes in in the bubble. You need that Boston Garden mystique to make that shot!

TP.  Tommy reached out and guided the ball in on the day they honored his memory.  I’ll believe that over random luck that a shot so badly missed luckily found it’s way through the hoop on it’s own.  Far better story.  TP for Heinsohn.

You’d prefer he miss so slightly that he rims out? I’m so silly I still think the end result is what matters. He had a great move to get the shot off versus the reigning DPotY. I rather it bank in than clank out.

A bloop/infield single that brings in the winning run counts more than a rocket line drive to the 3B to end the game. Nobody would discredit a hitter for getting the job done, regardless of perceived luck.

Of course I'd rather it go in, but it wasn't a good shot and he missed it by like 4 feet.  It was luck it went in, but I don't think we should be celebrating something that was a terrible shot and a horrid miss that luckily went in.  Sometimes you just need luck, but that is what that was.

Up in Heaven, Tommy is grinning -

He's yelling "TOMMY POINT, Jayson!!!" at the top of his lungs and the angels are looking at him like he's crazy and wondering -

"What is a Tommy Point?" Mr. Heinshohn?"

Educate em' Tommy :)

Glad we won.

But it really was a bad shot on a broken play.  It better be a broken play because if that’s what we are closing games with; I fear will lose more often than not - when it comes to “last possession games”.

It’s so easy to neutralize a JT 45 footer isolation play...
