Serge Ibaka is in a walking boot after twisting his ankle in Game 5. He says he's unsure about his availability for Game 6.

Yeah, not sure if I can believe it, but if so, that's huge. He's been the guy keeping them in this series imo.

Wow, but what happened when Jimmy Butler didn't play? We got soft and lost.  Sometimes this type of thing can short term shake up the team with the lost player, and the opponent gets their guard down.

yup this happens to all,the teams . I ve noticed  Lakers are really bad about bringing energy when the other teams stars are out .  To me , im opposite , it is  time to jump all over your opponents, show no,quarter .

Like a month ago on the Simmons podcast, Reusillo was relaying a story about Doc stating that very thing about when stars are out for the other team.

Am I missing something? I like Serge Ibaka, but he is a bench player now. Why are we suddenly worried about a let down by the Celtics because a "star player" may not play in game 6? Ibaka hasn't been a star player in years.

It's a decent size blow to Toronto if he is out.   Star is a subjective term but Ibaka is still a very integral part of that Raptors roster.

I would liken it to Daniel Theis being out. Ibaka is a bench player in name only as he is world's better than Marc Gasol at this point. But, yeah, Ibaka is not a star and we should not assume a victory as their top 4 players are all healthy and ready to go.

The point that Doc was making and Russillo was rehashing was not what constitutes a star or not, it was that his concern was a level of complacency settling over his players once they knew that an integral part of the opponent was going to be out of the game.

As fans, we have a tendency to see it as "oh boy, so & so is out, the Celtics should really steamroll now".  From Doc's point of view, it was "I'm concerned my team is now going to take thing for granted in this being a W and become complacent in their play and it'll hurt us".

I like Ibaka being out because it seems like he's the only player on the Raptors who can consistently hit 3-point shots against us.

Is it definite or game time?

Ibaka and agent may also lean towards pulling out ..... not to jeopardize his future contract situation

agree 100 % ,   look everybody. ..!  ....who beat us ....who always beats us....not Ibaka .....Lowry . As long as he is playing they have hope.  The shot , the pass , the play ...he is always involved like LeBron. Thats why they let D Roz go instead of Lowry .  Lowry IS the Raptors, the head of the snake  , without him as leader, coach , cheerleader ,  Mr defense , play maker , he goes out Raptors fall off a cliff now that Kawhi is gone.    He ll bring every good, great , and dirty play in the book to win. Smart and Celtics need to reply with all his antics and more. And if not Lowry he ll be more than happy to drive a stake though the Celtics heart again. .....and again.    The Raptors only win if you allow a 6 ft guy to beat you.   Smart should NEVER be less than 2-3 feet from Lowry the entire time Lowry is on the could .  Smart needs to make his battle with Lowry a priority....number. 1
