Why wouldn't Drummond care about who the coach is next year if he's planning on potentially opting in or signing a new contract there?

That's not implied by his comment though.  He just said he'd be gone if Beilein was there, nothing about what he'd do if Beilein was gone.  I think either of you guys could be right on this one, personally.
