Luka should've been but a lot of folks didn't trust that because he played overseas...
It wasn't Luka.  What team would trade a widely-known, once-in-a generation talent?  Even Atlanta is not that dumb.

I think the general public is most hyped about Zion.

I think the NBA was most hyped about Anthony Davis.

I agree with this, but I also think a lot of scouts and possibly GMs had Doncic as their highest rated prospect since LBJ, I know Dallas did.  Yes, Luka was drafted 3rd and traded, but that speaks more to the Suns and Kings being dysfunctional than Luka.  But yeah, I'd go with Zion / AD.

I think Greg Oden was more hyped within the NBA. The Tankathon for him was Duncan-esque.

Zion might be the most hyped among non-followers of the NBA.
