Old timers around here will remember former CB writer & staff member Steve Weinman who has gone on to become assistant GM of the Chicago Bulls.  One of the nicest & brightest basketball minds you’ll ever meet.

It’s an Athletic piece so you need a subscription but it’s an excellent read.

Never got to meet Steve but spoke with him at CB through PM and via email after he left to work for the NBA in the, at the time, D League(was it the NBADL?). Excellent basketball mind that had a keen eye for talent but, most importantly, just the nicest guy ever.
