Why are we trying to trade the ONE glue guy left in this team?  Didn’t we learn from last year that the whole team can’t be made of me first guys?

Only trade Smart if it will be an upgrade.

The C's see Marcus Smart as a core player.  They aren't looking to move him, he is too good of a player on an extremely reasonable salary.

Yes, very unlikely he is traded, let alone that they’d have to sweeten the deal with a draft pick.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

Marcus Smart Impacts Winning. I didn't say it, Brad did.

He is our Heart and Soul.

He does uncanny things...in the heat of the moment - that swings outcomes in our favor.

To ME - he is nearly untradeable. There are NOT many players in the NBA like him.

He brings our team Celtic Mystique...his play is at times KG-Like.

No offense but trading an all nba defender or a fantastic contract coming off his best career season who is a gamechanger for an overpaid older center with no range is a terrible idea.
Older center? Adams just turned 26. He is only 6 months older than Smart.
