Steven A. Smith told me Gordon was a problem in the locker room and that players resented him. Is he going to be a problem for team Chemistry?

This is the first I heard of this. From all accounts he's a chilled out guy and went out of his way not to step on anyone's toes, to the point of subordinating his offense to the likes of "the young guys".

This is a bit of misquote. I think it intended to capture SAS claim (which Jackie Mac confirmed) that there was resentment in locker room against perceived favoritism shown Hayward at start of year when he clearly was not fully recovered.  I agree with you that there seemed to be positive development between Brown and Hayward chemistry through the year, and also a off court bond between Tatum and Hayward was also starting to blossom.

Winning cures most ills. If we are playing well again, I doubt this becomes an issue going forward, but certainly something to keep an eye on.  I do wish our players hung out more together off the court, just don't know if that will happen.

Steven A Smith doubled down on his chemistry issues claim when he refused to say that Kyrie was the problem.

He said there were a lot of guys in that locker room that had resentment toward Hayward being re-inserted into the lineup too quickly.

He starts at 1:38 in this video.
2:30 where he mentions Hayward

P.S. I like Steven A but I do think he contributed to our locker room issues last year by poisoning Terry and possibly others against Stevens and DA.

It was just the way you worded it that confused me, it looked like Gordon was being a malcontent and causing issues proactively and fomenting division. I totally agree that his return created a lot of friction and resentment. It wasn't due to anything he did, other than not play well...it was just because he was there, taking minutes away.

To get back to your original point, I don't think it will be an issue now, because a) they should have learned from last year that being resentful of teammates doesn't pay (though in a way it did in Terry's case, he was rewarded with a $58m contract) and b) Hayward can't possibly be as bad this year as he was last year.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

If Gordon is able to comeback and be the player he was in Utah this year. People that’s like a huge free agent signing. It’s like getting another star this offfseason. Would be great if it happens and I’m rooting for him. Bleed forever green.

Here’s the thing: I had the same Hope a year ago. I’m not getting my hopes up for GH again.

I do feel a Hayward for Love swap makes sense.

Tatum and Hayward play the same position and we don't have any one to replace Al at power forward position.

I’d rather go with Tatum at the four and Hayward at the three. Love is almost 31 and will be toast long before that contract ends.

The thing about the real Gordon Hayward is his ISO game. He has the unique ability to pull the ball out, size a guy up, beat him, kick or shoot. He always makes the right basketball play. I believe his ability to do this, this season, will set the tone for the rest of the team and serve as the catalyst for unselfish Celtics basketball. He was tinkering with it at the end of the season and he really started to look like his former self. His selfishness is always within the framework of the team. Every single Marcus Morris shot is now his and he's going to make his team better with it. I'm elated. The standards are too low. This is going to be a ride.

I’m on the GH hype train. I think this year will be a huge year for him. Might sound crazy but I’m holding out hope that Kemba and GH will have all star seasons!

Sorry Jayson
