Assuming Durant’s out the whole year, Klay half the year, will the Warriors even be able to get a disabled player exception? I swear I heard before that you can not receive a DPE if the player is injured prior to the signing.

Buddy and I arguing over it, he says it’ll keep them competitive, I’m saying it’s tank time for LaMelo lol

Anyone know?

Funny, people don't realize LaMelo is now 6'8" and a top 3-5 prospect in next year's draft.

Agree 100% . Warriors would be the best team for his style too

As long as both are on GSW next year, the DPE can be applied for anytime between July 1 and January 15th. The only way it gets approved is if doctors can show that the player won't be able to play in any game before June 15, 2020. What would be opened up to get another player would be a slot worth the taxpayer MLE($5.4 million) for each approved player

So the Warriors should easily be able to get one for Durant, but I doubt they get one for Thompson as he should be able to return before June 15th of next year.
