Just some spot checks to see what other years were close.
Looks like '91 draft had 4/5: Larry Johnson #1, Billy Owens #3, Mutombo #4, Steve Smith #5. Missing is Kenny Anderson #2 who didn't even make 2nd team either, but went on to be an All-Star in Year 3, so things worked out okay. Stacey Augmon #9 made it.
'92 draft was close. Shaq #1, Mourning #2, Laettner #3, LaPhonso Ellis #5. Missing is Jim Jackson #4 (might have made it to but remember he missed all but 28 games his rookie year in a contract dispute). In was Tom Gugliotta #6.
'96 draft was also close. Iverson #1, Camby #2, Abdur-Rahim #3, Marbury #4. Missing is Ray Allen #5, but in his place was Antoine Walker #6.
'03 draft was close. LeBron #1, Carmelo #3, Bosh #4, Wade #5. Missing is Darko #2 (ha), in was Hinrich #7.
'08 draft was close too. Rose #1, Beasley #2, Mayo #3, Westbrook #4 are all in. Missing is #5 Kevin Love (think he went on to have a decent career). In was Brook Lopez #10.
Edit: missed '93 draft: Webber #1, Anfernee Hardaway #3, Mashburn #4, Isaiah Rider #5. Missing was Shawn Bradley #2, and in was Vin Baker #8.
