My jaw is still open from that last play. The best coach in clutch. Nobody draw plays like Doc.
-
TP.
Beat me to it.
That last backpick by Pierce and the layup by Green puts a smile on the old coach's face.
Beautifully conceived, Doc.
-
We need him to do it more often. I'm a lot more comfortable with Doc drawing a play than I am with Pierce running an iso at this point.
Great play, great win.
-
I think they were looking for Pierce to get the ball. Great play by Doc!
-
This team continues to surprise.
-
The dreaded PP isolation. Thankful it was only used as a decoy!!
Nice play Jeff!
-
well, i will credit doc on that one. nice drawn up play. see how things work when it is not PP iso doc??????
-
we won despite having Bass on the team.....just keep him on the bench ;D
-
This is one of Doc's strength. Gotta give him credit for that. Why him letting Bass messed up still kinda baffles me though.
-
I thought until KG threw that pass that Pierce was going to get it on the block. I don't blame David West for thinking the same thing.
-
I think that might actually have been Armond...
-
Doc needs to draw up plays more often instead of letting pierce go iso all the time. That was beautiful.
-
I think that might actually have been Armond...
TP!
Doc drew 2 plays, Armond said they should do the Paul Pierce back pick play.
Credit is on both of them.
Doc with the play.
Armond with re-assuring Doc that, that play will work.
-
I like Doc. Is a great defensive coach. But sometimes he make mistakes on last seconds of the game. Remember last points of Belinellis or lasts minutes @ Bobcats

Everybody makes some mistakes. Think of all the games he saved... the alley-oops, the backcourt runs...
-
One win and all of a sudden Doc is clutch?
Where did them "Doc needs to leave" and "Doc is awful" threads go?
Come on people, be consistent.

ummmmm, they are being consistent by calling a spade a spade. when doc refuses to make them attack or does terrible offensively or in his rotations he is called out and rightly so.
however when he draws up a nice play he gets credit. you have a problem with that?

Not me, bro. I've been a Doc and Rondo supporter all season long.
I find it ridiculous that we have a GREAT coach in Doc, but most people still whine and moan on every little thing he does even though he's closer to the action and the guys playing than we'll ever be. Wouldn't want anybody else coaching this team
-
Yeah. None here either.
The Doc criticism makes me laugh.
Not as hard as sorting through the umpteen Rondo is God threads on this board in the middle of a 13-4 run, but a good laugh nonetheless.
-
Well, apparently Armond Hill is clutch. He was the one that told doc to do that play. Doc wanted to do something else lol. *Probably a pierce iso!*

Doc drew the play, so the credit still goes to him.

Some of the credit not the full credit.

wow you actually credited doc for doing something good. I am impressed.

This^^ I always call it like I see it. People act like we want doc or whoever else to fail. If it was up to me everybody would do great on this team.
-
Doc is one of the best in the business at drawing up plays. More of that and less Pierce iso's is what I say.
-
That final play was a great call. Superb execution by all three players. KG is an underrated passer.
-
Remember this, guys?

apparently, Doc didn't even draw up the play. LET HILL COACH! lol
-
lol
p.s. nice backdoor KG until proven otherwise
-
lol
p.s. nice backdoor KG until proven otherwise
KG, Marc and Pau, Duncan and Noah are some of the best big men passers out there.
-

And to think we could've had Darko too, another good passer.

I love the fact that bradley and Green are up to the task of posting after the pass.
PP used to do that when he moved faster
baaackkk doooooorrrrrrrr
-
it wasn't Doc's plan , it was Armond's Hill.
Armond's plan = what you saw yesterday
Doc's plan = "guys give it to paul and move out of the way"
-
I like Armond Hill
-
It was Doc's play, Hill simply did what an assistant is supposed to do, advised him to use this certain play in this situation, and Doc listened. Why have assistants if you're not going to use them? And if you use them, why get discredited for doing so?
-

Ah don't bring up Darko! It aches my heart at hearing the name of the back up big man that could have been.

Wrong. Doc said the second play was KG and Jeff green pick and roll
