Until you come up with a strategy to keep Howard out of fouls trouble -- like he was constantly battling in the 2010 playoffs (you know, in "real life") -- I'm not too worried about it.

My strategy will involve him playing power forwards playing center...

And for as documented as his foul troubles were, they're pretty overrated: In his final nine contests in the past playoffs Dwight Howard played in over 38 minutes in EVERY ONE OF THEM.

Last time Howard played a "power forward playing center", he fouled out of two games.  I'm not sure that's such a good strategy.

Also, in those games Orlando didn't have a slow, weak SF playing PF (nor did they have a defensive sieve like Antwan Jamison beside him), and they didn't have their SG releasing opposing PGs to the basket with a full head of steam.

Of course, foul trouble or not, Howard can't beat a team -- especially a team with guys like Carlos Boozer, Derrick Rose, Zach Randolph, Rashard Lewis, and Richard Jefferson -- by himself.  A broken down Hedo Turkoglu and a fat Baron Davis just isn't enough help.

(By the way, who defends Boozer / Randolph -- or both -- in the 10+ minutes that Howard is sitting?  Greg Monroe?  An injured Ed Davis?  Hedo?!?!  Jamison?!!??!?!)

Also, I'd like to point out a few more of StartOrien's own words:

Just a point of clarification, anytime I use the "(something) = overrated" I mean it as a joke, and only use it when I completely disagree with the statement I've made.

I would suggest that the voters take the foul trouble thing very, very seriously.

I agree that foul trouble would be a disaster for Phoenix.

If Dwight Howard isn't on the court his usual they get blown away pretty quickly.

I don't think its something that Sacramento can count on, especially given how refs have called him in past conference finals.

To be clear, it's not something Sacramento is counting on.  However, it's been a very, very real problem for Howard.  Even if Howard is resting 10 - 12 minutes, Sacramento's depth advantage is going to brutalize the Suns.

Also, NBA refs can let a lot of fouls go, but they can't turn a blind eye to the type of hacking Howard would have to do to defend Boozer, Randolph, and Rose all at once. ;)

Sacramento is more talented, deeper, better rebounding, and has a more complete team.  Phoenix has one superstar.  Sacramento wins this.

OK, as I've stated, in the interest of fairness I'll cease my attack messages and will just respond to questions & post fan art.

What team built around using Maggette as the go to guy has won in the playoffs?  Or made the playoffs?

He has made a career as being a stat hanger on bad teams.  How are we suppose to believe he is going to be equal to Lebron in a playoff series?

And why are you not forcing more action through your best player in this?

To Phoenix

How can you expect us to buy that a rookie that has never played a game in the NBA is suddenly an elite stopper?

To Sac

How do you plan to defend the pick and roll with Howard?  I don't see your big men being able to get up high enough to stop him if he is getting good passes.

Teams in the past have had a lot of success defending Dirk with a strong SF.  Any thought of using Lebron on Dirk, and if so, how do you cover Magette?

He isnt my number one guy so im not sure why that is even an issue.  I just think he doesnt get the credit he deserves on this board.  Course the last time he was on a team with a legit MVP candidate they made it a game away from the WCF

When was that?  05-06 when he came off the bench and averaged 24 minutes a game in the playoffs?

Yup and 15.3 ppg and 7.3 rpg in those 24 minutes.  But you can leave those minor details out, its cool.
